The Van 1977

High school kid Bobby does not have a reputation of being a cool guy. This effects his luck with girls. His solution? Save up the cash he's making from working at a car wash to buy something that would up his status. Being that the year was 1977 there is only one thing in his mind that would do that. A brand new Dodge D300 Tradesman van. Fully customized and with shag carpeted walls & mirrors on the ceiling, a fridge, multiple TV sets, an 8 track player and, of course, a waterbed.

He thinks it will change everything in his life. Crack Kasparov Chess Mate Serial Download Free. It does but it's not all for the good. This film has all the trappings of a 1970's Drive In film.

Underage drinking, carefree sex, pin doobies, girls playing pinball, the total jerk rich kid, the Cooper font used for the credits, pimps and drag racing (well, actually in the case here, van racing) to name a handful of them. Bobby is played by Stuart Getz. He is probably known best for an episode of the Brady Bunch where he played Charlie, the guy Marsha forgot she had a date with when the more popular Doug asked her out. Y'know the episode I am talking about. The one where Marsha got her nose beaned by a football. Bobby's boss at the car wash is played by Danny DeVito. He wears Hawaiian shirts and has a bit of gambling problem in the movie.

The theme song is Sammy Johns cheese classic 'Chevy Van.' Apparently the folks behind the film weren't concerned too much about continuity because no one bothered to point out 'but the van he's driving is a Dodge.' This is a summer viewing classic in my book of 1970's teensploitation. I first saw it at the drive in too.

I wasn't a teenager yet then. Hell, I still had a year to even enter junior high.

Much different times indeed.

Well, it's a matter of taste. More of a typical teen T&A film that featured the Custom Van phase America went through in the late 70s. Mike962 wrote any car chases? There are a few with the Van being chased by the Police, and the end scene drag-racing with the Black Van. The chases seem tame today.

This movie was more about showing off the vans. 2012-06-24 01:39 Not to be confused with.

Double Feature! THE VAN 1977 U.S. Excellent quality. 4:3 aspect ratio. This uncut, R-rated version contains drugs, drag racing, nudity, sex and is politically incorrect by today's standards. Unlike the 'clean teen' and 'youth searching for meaning' films of the 60s and early 70s, The Van is an early example of a new type of teenage comedy that featured nudity, sexual situations, and drug use. Bobby is a recent high-school graduate who buys a customized 1977 Dodge van with his college he can use it to pick up women!

The inside is a fully decked out plush chamber that includes a waterbed and an 8-track sound system. Bobby's pursuit of sex leads him into a number of disappointing episodes. One scene features a pinball-playing girl who agrees to share a joint in his van. Though willing to get high, she objects to his advances. Laughing it off, he tries raping her, but then finds she has stuffed her bra with wads of toilet paper. Next, is a Mexican girl, who takes off her top but wants money. Another woman is also a prostitute, and her pimp barges in for payment.

Bobby's real goal is to make it with Sally, the hot blonde girlfriend of his archenemy Dugan. Dugan is a strong, muscular and tattooed bully who is determined to have the fastest van in town. The 'Van' is a 1977 Dodge B200 Tradesman, which was customized by the legendary George Barris. The music heard on the film's soundtrack is by Sammy Johns and includes the songs: 'Chevy Van,' 'Early Morning Love,' 'Jenny,' 'Rag Doll,' and 'Hang My Head and Moan.' Stuart Goetz, Deborah White, Danny DeVito, Morgan Moses, Marcie Barkin, Bill Adler, Steve Oliver, Connie Hoffman.

Plus this bonus selection. TOM 1972 U.S. Educational short. Tom is an intellectual longhair drop-out, hippie, surfer dude from southern California who does all the usual early 70s hippie things like, smoking weed, dropping acid and hanging out with other hippies like him.

He goes on stoner hikes in the woods and brings his flute and jams with a friend on an acoustic guitar. Tom is into self-realization.

He likes to make pottery (I guess most things having to do with pot are cool with Tom!) Warning: you might get a contact high watching this film! THE VAN 1977 movie on DVD!
